While in the garden, man was made to live forever. Death had no place in God’s garden of Eden. Unfortunately, man disobeyed God and were eventually driven out of the garden to another place where they became exposed to suffering, pain and death.

God himself made the first prophesy in the bible when he pronounced judgment on the woman as a result of her disobedience. This prophesy was a sign of hope to come at the appointed time.
The prophesy states thus:
Genesis 3:15
Notice that the above prophesy is directed to the woman, and it applies to her offspring (singular).
The woman to whom this prophesy is directed to is Mary and her offspring is Jesus.
Luke 1:41-43
Jesus crushed the head of satan whom was represented by the snake in Genesis 3:14 by virtue of his death on the cross of Calvary.

Without any doubt, this is the biggest consequence of man’s sin (sin of disobedience). In fact this consequence outweighs the sin itself since it flowed from obedience, love, humility and mercy in the person of Jesus Christ.

Come to think of it, do you think Jesus would have been revealed if man had not sinned and became death worthy?
For this reason, scholars will regard the disobedience of Adam and Eve as a 'sweet fall'. It was this fall that revealed the love, mercy and justice of God.
The main purpose for Jesus' coming (to earth) was to save all human beings from death; which he successfully accomplished by shedding his precious blood on the cross of Calvary.
Jesus justified man with his humiliations, beatings, sorrows, pains and eventually, his death. It was the death of Jesus that opened paradise once again.
Luke 23:42-43
In general, the consequences of Adam and Eve's disobedience (including our own sins) brought about the revelation of God's begotten son, Jesus, who suffered immensely, died and ultimately, resurrected gloriously on the third day.

Wise men from the east came to visit the infant king. Upon their arrival, they saw the child with his mother Mary. They knelt down and worshiped the infant (Jesus).
Notice that the bible recorded that the wise men knelt down and worshipped the infant (Jesus), according to Matthew 2:11.
Only God can be worshiped. Jesus is always God, even as a baby.
It is important to state that Jesus remained God at every point in his physical existence, even when he was in the womb of the virgin; throughout his life on earth, death on the cross and eventual resurrection.
The wise men from the east opened their treasures and presented the infant Jesus with three significant gifts. These are gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Gold represents a symbol of Jesus' kingship. Jesus is the King of kings, even at birth and throughout eternity.
Frankincense represents a symbol of Jesus' divinity and a sign of worship. Only God can be worshipped; and as such, Jesus is fully God.
Myrrh represents a symbol of Jesus' death. Jesus is truly man, and this is why he was able to suffer and die on the cross.
God created human beings for the following reasons:
To know Him
To love Him
To serve Him
To be happy with Him forever
Our first parent, Adam and Eve enjoyed a life of complete happiness before they committed sin. They never knew what pain nor sorrow was until they disobeyed God. In short, both were perfect beings until they committed the sin of disobedience against God.
Disobedience may simple be defined as the failure to obey rules, command or someone in authority.
Adam and Eve were the first human beings to disobey God.

Adam and Eve were able to commit sin (disobey God's command) because God had given them that special gift of free will.
The events written in Genesis 3:1-13 presents the story of the first human disobedience.
Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the Lord God had made. The snake asked the woman, 'Did God really tell you not to eat fruit from any tree in the garden?'

Moral Lesson: The devil can come in any form and can tempt any man, woman, boy or girl, as far as he or she is of the age of reasoning.
Sometimes, satan creeps into one's life by asking simple questions. Notice that the snake (satan) did exactly this when it approached Eve to tempt her. To this end, we need to be at alert prayerfully because the evil one can tempt any human in any situation, place and at any point in time
Attributes of God is defined as those characteristics that has to do with God.
The attributes of God will aid us to better understand who God is. It is important to state that no one has a complete knowledge of God's attributes.
Jesus is the true image of the unseen God and he shares completely all the attributes of God. Those who were with Jesus in his time saw the attributes of God in him according to how he acted, loved and forgave.
Fortunately, we have all experienced one attribute of God or another in our daily lives. Infact, you are alive today (and able to read this write-up) simply because of the attributes of God resting upon you.
