Please read on Values in Civic Education here.

On the contrary, a humble person does not necessarily have a low esteem. For instance, the fact that a rich and famous man spends some of his time with the poor, lowly and despondent does not mean he has a low self-esteem. In fact, this very action of his may even affect (positively) the self-esteem of the poor who had been visited.

You can read on Low Self-esteem and its Causes here.

People with a healthy self-esteem will always believe in themselves. They don't write themselves off regardless the situation. In addition, they respect others, no matter their state in life and in return see themselves as deserving of respect.

Please read on Reputation and how to build a good Reputation here.

A healthy self-esteem is not only experienced in success. It is also displayed in temporary failures. For instance, a student who was only able to conclude 50% of her assignment due to a sudden health breakdown can still display a healthy self-esteem.

  • In the above instance, if the student of reference has a healthy self-esteem, she will be glad of her achievement. Such a student wouldn't look down on herself in comparison to those who did 100% of the assignment. This is so because she understands that she has done her best and will continue to put in her best regarding her academic endeavors.
